If a line of poetry has four feet, it is written in tetrameter. "Tetra," meaning, four. It has seven different kinds and these are: Anapestic, Iambic, Trochaic, Dactylic, Spondaic, Pyrrich, and Amphibracic. These are unstressed syllables that are commonly found in poetry and are used by poets to put a dramatic effect in their writing.
