If Carl does not respond to the complaint and summons served by Audrey and Felipe within the prescribed time limits, Audrey and Felipe may obtain default judgment. Default judgment is defined as a binding judgment that is in favor of a party by which it is likely to be based on a failure to take action of the other party.
