But this desire has lead them to certain serious mental disorder in which they either lose the desire to eat (anorexia nervosa)  or slip into depression after eating and switch to unhealthy practices of losing weight (bulimia nervosa).

Thus we can term that our culture and physiology collides with each other and takes a form of serious disorders like these.
