Africa is the second large continent after Russia and is home to a large number of rivers. But most of these rivers are not navigable due to they have waterfalls and are seasonal in nature.

  • Africa has a large natural resource base but suffers from a shortage of infrastructure and development. Most of the African land is under corruption and is politically unstable.  
  • Most of the wars are due to power, political conflicts, and lack of developmental projects and financial constraints. Hence transportation through most of rivers is a big problem for people.
