[tex] \frac{3}{5} [/tex]y + a = b Subtract a from both sides
[tex] \frac{3}{5} [/tex]y = b - a Multiply both sides by
[tex] \frac{5}{3} [/tex] to cancel out the fraction
y = [tex] \frac{5b - 5a)}{3} [/tex]
