A, Two diploid cells are formed at the end of Meiosis I. Meiosis II results in four haploid cells. The reason why the cells in Meiosis II aren't diploid is because the chromosome don't replicate during prophase II due to the fact that sex cells need 1/2 the amount of chromosomes as a body cell.
