A graph of the motion of a pendulum shows that it swings from +5 cm to -5 cm for each cycle. What is the amplitude of the pendulum?

Respuesta :

Hi there!!

The amplitude in math and science is known as half the distance that a graph travels in regards to it's y-values. It is like the radius of a circle.

In this case, the pendulum covers 10cm altogether when it swings. 10/2=5cm

Therefore the amplitude is 5.

Hope this helps!
