Diego needs 23 cartons of berries to make a berry cobbler. he already has 10 cartons of strawberries and 4 cartons of blueberries how many more cartons of Berries should Diego buy?

Since strawberries and blueberries are both berries, you can subtract both of those numbers of cartons from the total Diego needs.

23-10=13
13-4=9

Diego should buy 9 more cartons of berries! My favorite are raspberries, if anyone's asking...
